In a world where every act of love can make a difference, we stand as a community of volunteers since 1914, driven by a passion for caring. We firmly believe that the youth are the building blocks of our future and that their growth and sustainable development are the keys to stronger communities and a better society.

Our mission is to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to understand, manage, and preserve the environment in its entirety.

Through educational activities and practical, environmentally-focused techniques, we teach the youth how to take responsibility for their natural world. We encourage them to act with passion and dedication, and to realize that every small action can have a big impact on the environment around us.

At Land Service, love is at the core of our work—love for God our Creator, our environment, our fellowman, and the labour we perform. We strive to live a life of service and to empower our members to improve their environment and bring about meaningful change. Through leadership development and the cultivation of people with integrity, we are building a generation that will live out our values and goals wholeheartedly.

Land Service is a youth movement with a focus on the environment. Its aim is to equip young people with the skills to manage and preserve the environment as a whole. To achieve this, Land Service makes use of educational activities and environmentally-focused techniques.

Land Service’s dream is to promote true Land Service values in such a way that they become accessible and part of every South African’s lifestyle. Each individual must care, be involved, and take action, especially with regards to environmental issues. Through this approach, Land Service fosters love, environmental awareness, pride in our country, and active citizenship that makes a difference.

Mission

Land Service is a Christian-based organisation that strives to equip young people with life values, leadership skills, and a heart for service. Our mission is, through service to God, our fellowman, and our country, to raise a new generation of sincere, responsible, and faith-based leaders. Our focus is on character building, community development, and cultivating a life of service that directly contributes to a stronger, healthier society.
